When it opens in mid-2014, the 783-bed Fiona Stanley Hospital in Murdoch, Perth, will be the major tertiary hospital in the south metropolitan area and will offer comprehensive health care services to communities south of Perth and across Western Australia.

Located at the centre of a health, education and research precinct at Murdoch, Fiona Stanley Hospital is set to benefit from excellent links to St John of God Hospital Murdoch (external site), local education providers, and a state-of-the-art on-site medical research facility to be built by the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (external site).

Some of the key services to be provided at Fiona Stanley Hospital include:

allied health burns cancer centre cardiology emergency department facilities management and support services

hyperbaric medicine intensive care unit medical imaging mental health obstetrics / neonatal / paediatrics operating theatres

outpatients pathology pharmacy rehabilitation trauma wards
