Environmental planning and approvals

A clearing permit for the site was issued by the Department of Environment and Conservation on 26 August 2007.

The Federal Minister for the Environment, Heritage and the Arts granted approval for the project under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 on 7 July 2008.

In August 2009, the Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts agreed to a variation of the conditions attached to the approval decision for the Fiona Stanley Hospital project under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.
